10 Awesome Ways to Teach Kids the True Meaning of Easter

#3 Watch a movie about Jesus’ life.

Of course, one of the best ways to hear the story of Easter is to watch a re-inaction of it.

Our two favorite movies about Christ’s life are The Jesus Film  and The Passion of the Christ.

The Jesus Movie is powerful and engaging for kids of all ages. This is the movie that missionaries show all over the world as an evangelistic tool. My husband and I had the opportunity to show it to a tribe of the Dinka people in Southern Sudan while we were on a missions trip there a few years ago!

The Passion of the Christ is equally powerful, but it definitely more graphic and is entirely in Aramaic. While it’s an incredibly emotional re-telling of the story, I would say it’s for kids at least 13 and up.
